How can I launch the CDS Portal search page with a predefined target ?
Add to the CDS Portal base URL http://cdsportal.u-strasbg.fr/ the fragment # followed by the target (object name or position) you want to query.
Do not forget to correctly encode the target value. Blank values must be encoded as %20.
Example: The URL http://cdsportal.u-strasbg.fr/#NGC%201333 will launch the portal search page for NGC 1333.
How do I add the CDS Portal as a search engine in the Firefox toolbar ?
If you run Firefox, simply click on this link to add the CDS Portal search engine.
